Hi everyone! First of all, I want to say that Brent and I appreciate everyone’s messages of love and care so much during this incredible journey we’ve been on. We love you all so much!

We had a lot of people asking to hear about our experience of bringing our first child, Camden, into the world, so I convinced Brent to do a short video series about it! When we think back, there were some pretty funny moments that we think you will appreciate, but there were also some things we never knew were going to happen.

As first-time parents, Brent and I did all the research we could possibly do… and we STILL weren’t prepared for a lot of the moments that took place! So, we hope by sharing our story we can provide some insight into some things people may not know about having a baby, and even share a few laughs along the way!

Once again, thank you so much for all the love and support! Brent and I appreciate you all so much, and we hope you enjoy learning about Camden’s Birth Story 💕

This is Part 1 of a three-part series about Brent and I’s amazing experience bringing our first child, Camden, into the world.

Camden’s birth story begins at what other place… THE HAIR SALON! The due date was originally supposed to be a few days earlier, but nothing had happened yet. So, I kept going about my days as normal - continuing work with my Virtual Gyms and making sure my team was still on track with all their programs!

Now, you may not know this, but my hair is SUPER curly - like CRAZY CURLS. My girl at the salon, keeps my mane looking B-E-A-Utiful, but the process involves my hair looking pretty nuts...

Anyways, so I’m sitting in the chair, hair looking cray-cray, then all of a sudden - BOOM! I have my first contraction!! I brush it off as maybe just some normal preggo pain, but no - it keeps happening. My stylist and all the women in the salon are thinking I’m about to go into labor, and I’m just sitting in the chair like, “No way! Everything is fine…”

Well, I was definitely WRONG! And let me just tell you something… Don’t believe what the movies show you about going into labor. My contractions were coming in strong and FAST. I went from first contraction at 12:10PM, to 16 minutes later, then to around 8 minutes later, then to just FOUR MINUTES later!

Check out the video to see how I got out of the salon! I’ll just say the story involves my mom, a giant towel, and MAYYYYYBEEEEE a new hair style 😂

So at this point, I’m finally back with my amazing hubby, Brent, and he’s going through ALL TYPES of emotions. We rushed home from the salon, and he immediately starts running around to grab everything we need for the hospital. And yes, you know I made a list of EVERYTHING we needed!

We get everything and get back into the car to head to the hospital… WHICH IS 40 MINUTES AWAY!!! Brent is driving as fast and as safely as he can, but it just happens to be that the SLOWEST drivers ALL decide to get on the road at the same time!

Alright, back to the contractions… The times are becoming closer and closer together. Things feel like they are happening so fast that Brent seriously thinks we’re gonna have to pull over and deliver Camden on the side of the road!!

Luckily we didn’t have to pull over, BUT something else crazy happened…

Remember that list I mentioned earlier… That list that included everything that we could possibly need for the hospital… Well, guess what?! One VERY important thing wasn’t grabbed before we left the house 😶

Check out the video below to see what was left behind, and how we ended up getting before finally getting to the hospital
