RUNNING ON FUMES
So what in the WORLD do you do when you feel like you are just running on FUMES?
Have you ever looked down and the gas gauge to your car was on "E"? You freak out because you have no idea if there is a gas station anywhere close by. If you are like me I try to keep this from happening but every once in a while I forget and BOOM there I am in the middle of town with no gas! A car needs gas to GO!
How many times have we done this in our own lives? I mean how many times do we run on, or close to, EMPTY!?? You get to that place where you don't know if you are going to make it any further? Im gonna give you one things that I have learned over the years.
This one thing is 5 MINUTES... Huh? What?
That's right I said "5 Minutes". Give yourself 5 minutes... you have to STOP for 5 FREAKIN minutes ;) Whether its five minutes in your car, or five minutes extra in the shower, or five minutes in your closet. Just give yourself five minutes to stop, regroup and get a little rest and refuge. Most times when you get to this point you have to STOP and recalibrate. You need to find what it is that is putting you, or has put you, on EMPTY. This doesn't happen by accident, there is something that you are doing that is depleting you and you are not getting FILLED back up!
Ask yourself, "WHY did I start this journey in the FIRST place?"
For some of you , you started this conquest because it is your personal CALLING or MISSION!
For some of you, you started your business because you HAD NO OTHER CHOICE. You need to make a living and it has to happen NOW! This is how I started. I was in debt up to my ears and in serious trouble!!! But when you are at the place where you feel like you can't go one more step, you have to STOP and refocus on WHY it is that you are doing what you are doing!
This "WHY" is what pushes you to the next level. It gives you that second wind.. or third wind... or 85th wind for crying out loud! You can find breakthrough, but you need to find your bigger WHY and this takes time. You gotta reconnect to your purpose and passion. Maybe you learn that you have to take a break. But eventually you need to learn to REFILL by REFOCUSING on your mission, vision or goals.
